Caprese Salad with Balsamic, You got the creamy mozzarella, the savory fresh basil combined with the acidic tomatoes and tangy balsamic. That my friends is the whole pallet of flavors. (Gluten-free, vegetarian)
I am totally in a cookout mood. This caprese salad with balsamic is a simple but delicious cold salad. It’s my favorite flavor combinations of tomato, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. Drizzled with yet another favorite of mine, balsamic vinegar.
I was introduced to this epic combination a couple of years back on a pizza. Some fresh pesto, sliced tomatoes and chunks of mozzarella. I was in total and absolute heaven.
This salad, is very similar to that feeling. You got the creamy mozzarella, the savory fresh basil combined with the acidic tomatoes and tangy balsamic. That my friends is the whole pallet of fabulous flavors.

Regardless, my other absolute, stupid easy way of eating them it just with some pink salt. Slice them, douse with salt and oh my word yum.
You can also make them into cute like appetizers with baby tomatoes like the caprese bites I made last year.
This flavor combination, you can’t go wrong with it. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of tomatoes (R isn’t really) then you might be surprised how much you like this salad. There are so many flavors that are perfectly married together you’ll almost forget your eating so many tomatoes.

Hope everyone is ready for this coming Fourth of July weekend. I know I’m ready for a short week and a long 3-day weekend.
Drink some strawberry lemonade and enjoy some good company. 🙂
