Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola can get you out of your breakfast rut with a gluten-free treat. (Gluten-free, Vegetarian, Vegan)
Ever get into a total and absolute breakfast rut? You know, that same breakfast everyday, every morning like clockwork. This Chocolate Peanut Butter granola is going to be that new breakfast rut my friends.
I was stuck in this said rut and was eating the same oatmeal for breakfast every single morning. Actually a main reason why I wrote the OMG: Oatmeal Made Great eCookbook was to get myself out of an oatmeal rut. Success.
I get into these random moods though where certain foods are just 100% revolting to me. Certain foods I generally can’t get enough of become my worst enemy.
What happens when all of a sudden your steady eddy breakfast becomes revolting to you? You make your next breakfast involve little tiny chocolate chips because you can never go wrong with a little chocolate in your breakfast. Right?
Boy oh boy am I happy I did. Adding a few of my favorite things including oats, almonds, peanut butter and honey baked into perfect oat clusters and mixed in with mini chocolate chips. It’s breakfast perfection.
Perhaps with the spring swooping in means I also need to change my meals? I think I subconsciously did that. I’ve been changing my breakfast a lot actually. My breakfast these past few days have been apples and almonds with dried cherries. #Nom
Actually I’ve really been wanting to make another batch of my Mint Chocolate Chip Truffles but keep forgetting to buy more mini chocolate chips! Just went to the store for the 4th time this week today and forgot them again. Don’t you just hate that?
I actually ate the last handful for chocolate chips after my total freak out moment with this site. I kind of broke Veggie Balance for about an hour last Sunday. It was my first official moment where Veggie Balance was down and I truly broke her. (Sorry Veggie Balance, I love you)
I was messing with coding a little and oops I did something it didn’t like. One hour of freaking out, a handful of the remaining chocolate chips and she was back up and running thanks to Bluehost back up she was fixed. Don’t let me fool you though, if there was more chocolate chips left in the bag, I would’ve demolished them. Chocolate is my comfort food.
